Breaking the Silence

Long time without updating.
Olympia has been good to us this past year. We moved in the last two days of September 2010. Our ward is wonderful! Great people, great friends.
Jake has been able to work 4-10s... but now tomorrow is his last day, he will get 6 days off before he will have full time training. I'm dreading it... can't wait for it to be over, but it will still never be the same. The girls and I have looked forward to our meals we take him nearly everyday he worked the past year, we won't get that anymore, and his shifts are probably going to be crazy. Sorry, am I complaining?
I'm so proud of his success and all that he has accomplished so far. I know the Lord is behind him in every step. Jake knows how to work... at work. :) And takes such pride in what he does... everything has to be just right. He can be very particular, but I'm sure that is what is work is expecting.
I know it's all getting close, Jake spoils us on a regular basis, but it has increased greatly within the last couple weeks. I can tell he's starting to miss us without being gone yet. I'm trying to absorb it, and I'm trying to think of a way to have him leave every week without the girls seeing him. They cry when he leaves to go to the gym everyday for just an hour or so... but he usually takes them everywhere else and so they don't understand why they can't go to the gym too.
Spoil, spoil, spoil. He needs a boy, all these girls make him a softy. :)

This was right when we moved to Olympia.

The girls love to swing.

Cute pic of Jake and Kayla, just had to share.

Remembering August 23, 2003. I can't believe it has been 8 years now.

The Month of April has been a busy one.

At first it seemed that April would never come, and then once it did it was over... done... Time seems to always work that way.
My mom and I had been planning a trip to see Heidi because she was graduating in Exercise Health and Science from BYU-H and Jake was planning on taking Jena Belle and ShayLynne to Canada for the week while I was gone.
The fist weekend of April was spent up in Seattle visiting with Jakes family and getting the little cousins together to do an Easter Egg hunt, pictures and everything that goes along with family gathers...Fun. We celebrated three birthdays that weekend as well, ShayLynne turned 2 yrs on the 7th, Emily's was the 9th, and Truman turned 14 on the 12th.

My brother, Justin, and his little family came up that weekend also... so we celebrated ShayLynne's actual day with them.

ShayLynne thanking grandpa for setting up her toy from mom and dad.

The very next day it was on to Hawaii for Heidi's grad, and fun in the sun. It was actually kinda cool and rainy still, but we made the most of it.

I noticed that Kayla was doing the lip thing that Heidi does in this pic. Talented!!

Here's Kayla... sporting her dad's favorite hockey team.

Jake is soo good with his girl's, always willing to go out and play with them. Here they are flying a kite.

Kayla Dawn Truman

Born January 25th, 2010
8lbs 1.7 ounces
20 inches

We are so incredibly blessed to have another little, healthy, beautiful girl in our family. I noticed contractions at 10:30pm Sunday night and got into the hospital at 12:45pm and then she came at 3:12am, a whole week early of her Feb. 1st due date. She was quick to come see her sisters.
Jena Belle and ShayLynne have adjusted great and both love her.
Everything has been wonderful... but the little stress of changing her name. I am so, so very blessed for how smooth everything has been, and thankfully Jake was able to take off just over a week to help with everything, talk about Mister Wonderful. He had to put up with my nagging, and therefore this MIGHT be our last one... who knows? only Heavenly Father.

Jena Belle's Christmas Dance

Jena Belle loves to dance. This is her first year in ballet/tap, and I just had to put this on for all the family out there. Enjoy, and Merry Christmas.

Also, I have some pictures of the girls helping with the tree decorations... it was so cute watching ShayLynne try to put the bells on the tree and then they would just drop to the floor, but she kept on trying and then Jena Belle helped her. All the bells would have been clustered in one spot if I didn't remind Jena to move them around and put them up high.
ShayLynne now just takes the bells off to play with them.

It finally snowed yesterday... and everyone Jena Belle talks to the subject immediately turns to be about snowmen and how "her Jacob" (daddy) is going to help her with a snowman. It hasn't happened yet, but I'll be sure to post some pictures when it does.

Better Late then Never

This should have been posted back in April, but... life just goes.
Just a small clip of Shaylynne's first birthday, just watching it makes me realize how much has changed.

I know the cake doesn't look that great because the frosting melted off the top, but it's a coconut cream cake, delicious... hence the birthday girl devouring it.
